“The superior man makes the difficulty to be overcome his first interest; success comes only later.” ~William Jennings Bryan
People often operate with a “lottery” mentality, meaning that they focus solely on the success they desire – financial, relationship, possessions, etc., without focusing on overcoming the challenges to reach those desires. It is as though they should be able to get what they want with little or no effort, like buying a $1 lottery ticket expecting to win millions. No, the people who actually achieve their desired success are those who not only have a vision of what they want, they carefully determine what they must overcome to achieve – learning, training, practice, building relationships, making smart investments in time and money, and more.
What is it you want? What stands in your way? What actions are you taking to overcome these obstacles?
