“Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.”
~Cecil Beaton
As a leader (whether by title or by influence) in today’s uncertain times, your followers are looking for signs of your integrity and vision. While consistency and predictability are comforting, these are times when you need to lead during turbulent and rapid change. So challenge the ordinary and the methods that drove past success. Champion individuals and projects that dare to strike out in a new or untried direction. Tolerate failures in public ways that show your desire for innovation and risk taking.
